Due to sickness in the house and then Thanksgiving. Class is canceled for Thursday October 6th and Monday October 10th.

Outside may be getting cooler, but the tatami is heating up. South western BC has at least 3 tournaments happening in the next 3 months!

Our new fall schedule is up! Monday & Thursday evenings and continuing advanced classes on Saturdays.

Last Sunday, June 26th, was the Victoria Open Karate Tournament. Senseis Suzi and Nick both participated as officials and competed. They brought home 3 silver and 1 gold medal.

The Victoria Open Karate Championships are coming up. They will be held at the Central Middle School (1280 Fort St) in Victoria on June 26th.

After a full day officiating at the 2020 BC Karate Provincial Championships in Richmond, Sensei Nick competed and brought home a Bronze medal in both Kata and Kumite.

After two years without in person provincial tournaments, public health rules are okay with a tournament. Sensei Nick is attending and officiating. 

Due to other events - Sensei Nick presenting at DrupalCon (a web development conference) - there is no class on April 25th. Looking forward to seeing everyone in May

VIKS has organized an in person karate chapionship in Nanaimo for April 10th 2022. Sooke Karate will be going.

This past weekend - December 4th/5th - was Karate BC's 2021 Canada Open Karate Tournament. First tournament around here in person in quite a while, and one of our instructors, Sensei Nick was able to attend - and bring home an officiating certificate.
