This past weekend - December 4th/5th - was Karate BC's 2021 Canada Open Karate Tournament in Richmond. One of the first tournaments in Canada in person in pretty much two years. More than 400 one of our instructors, Sensei Nick was able to attend. Almost 400 participants came together and made it a very successful tournament although there was some evidence of the challenges and lack of practice of the pandemic. Much of the tournament was livestreamed.

In addition to officiating and assisting in various duties during the tournament such as weighing in athletes, Sensei Nick also tested and received his Karate BC Judge C certificate.
