With the conclusion of the 2024 Karate BC Provincials this weekend in Richmond, the primary 2023-2024 Tournament season for BC is now a wrap!
For a small dojo and community, Sooke Karate had some nice results over the past year:
- Attended in various capacities (competing and officiating) 3 tournaments with between 1 and 2 competitors in each.
- Nick upgraded his officiating licence to Provincial Judge B (looking at either A or Provinical Referee in the 2024-25 Tournament season).
- 4 golds, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals
Looking forward to a great next tournament season, although before that we have our favourite tournament... the Victoria Open that is almost no travel to get to coming up on June 2nd.
